Thank you for the book!
Dear Allan,
Thank you for the kind gift of your book. It was a delight to read, and is very well written. From what I remember from our many discussions, the warm Christian character of my friend is evident throughout, and I recognized your style immediately. It was just like old times as I read it. Your use of scripture is clear and to the point, and your moral reasoning is as good as ever. You should be very proud, if I may use the word, of what you have accomplished in writing it. Thank you for thinking of me, and for knowing intuitively that I would embrace the opportunity to be challenged by what you have written.

When I first read the introduction and your opinion about the potential influence the book could have, I thought you were being overly optimistic. I have gone half way through the book and have come to the same conclusion you have with respect to the influence the book could have. You have captured the questions that have plagued me for some time. Allan, you are addressing serious questions. Most people who go away from the hell doctrine do so at the expense of salvation and the work of Christ. You have treated this subject in a very God honoring and Christ glorifying way. I wanted to let you know that God has revealed something to you, and you have handled it in a very responsible and caring way. I wanted to drop a line to encourage you.
